Having originally played a level of two of the original Xbox Lego Star Wars (covering episodes I, II and II) and all of the PS2 version (IV, V and VI), how does this game hold up when you stick 'em together onto one disc? And on PS3?
This week, we talk about the latest games we're playing (hint: POKER SMASH) and discuss what we're looking forward to seeing at this year's GDC in a few weeks. Wow!
Hi how are you doing? Forgive the quality of this post…l'm writing this on palm thingy. I'm pretty happy with it. Writing each letter by hand is SO 1997 but you got to work with what you can get, hey I just figured out how to get the keyboard working! That's better. Anyway this is the latest toy to find its way into A-G HQ so I thought it would be a good idea review the shitty games that came on it, DOESN'T THAT SOUND LIKE BIG FUN!?
A few months back I reviewed the HD-DVD version of Dragons Lair, a port of a classic videodisc arcade game from the mid-'80s. Today it's the turn of its spiritual sequel "Space Ace" also from Don Bluth, the king of non-Disney 2D animation from the '80s.
EA Playground is yet another abomination from EA tailored for the easy cash-in only available on the Wii. Developed by EA Canada, which seems to be a common trend, EA Playground is the perfect title to dump on your children when you and the wife want to get the fuck out of the house and do more adult things. Like play an Xbox 360.
It's back for another year! We talk about everything we've been playing over holiday break (and yes, that means we talk about Portal again - you have been warned) and take a listen to the leaked Electronic Arts orientation tape!
Let me start by saying a couple things, first like most folks my age I grew up with Atari and yes I spent my fair share of time in the arcades too. I have wonderful memories of playing some truly great games and sadly Atari Classics Evolved (PSP) has nothing to do with great gaming.
The other thing I wanted to mention is i know people work hard to produce what they think are great games and any harsh criticism can hurt…but I doubt it could ever hurt as much as playing this piece of shit game! Let's explore this shitfest together shall we?
Burnout: Paradise. You should all have it by now. If not, why not?
EA and Criterion done did it again. I'm not gonna bore you by waxing poetic over the game, there are enough fan-douches to drool over it. I just want to talk about the "posi" and "negi" of the game. (I'm so hip, I make needless abbreviations)
In a hastily assembled press conference, the Son of God our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ of Nazareth descended from the heavens, and spake thus: "Poker Smash is going to come out on February the 6th. It is going to REDEFINE YOUR ENTIRE LIFE."
The demo is out, it's out, so grab it with your snout! Now you can see what we've been making such a fuss about. Yeah OK we keep saying "Potential disaster" but we're looking forward to playing more of this, honest!
I don't run a hotel. I can't say I've ever dayreamed about running a hotel. Then again I never daydreamed about listening to old men talk and that hasn't stopped me from playing Half Life 2 all day. On the other hand, the wife has dreamed about running a hotel, has played the demo, and has convinced the game's publisher to send us a review copy. So there is your disclaimer, and here we are now.
YAY! VIDEO GAMES ARE VIOLENT, PUSS & SEX FILLED, TERRORIST, MURDER TRAINERS AGAIN!
This week brought about what will probably be my favourite week of all time. Fox News (the inspirational juggernaught of journalism it is) recently held a session of Live Desk regarding the sex content in the new game Mass Effect. Now for us in the stagnant swamp that is the games community know, Mass Effect is by now, a dated title (come now, Burnout Paradise is out), and the news regarding the partial alien side boob we get is ever older. So it was with bemused glee that I recieved a link to this little gem of a news item, involving several "Fox-perts" in a round table discussion, rapping and gabbing about how Mass Effect leaves NOTHING to the imagination…
