They've just announced Singstar QUEEN. I hoped never to buy a Karaoke game but NOW I MUST…

Queen is obviously my favourite band. Killer Queen on the first guitar Hero was my favourite song to play (and I bought the 360 DLC so I could play it again). It also was the band that inspired me to a career in music (via game audio). But one thing troubles me. WHY THE HELL ISN'T THIS FOR ROCK BAND OR GUITAR HERO?

People forget that Queen wasn't just Freddie Mercury (one of the greatest voices ever), but also drummer Roger Taylor (who wrote "I'm in Love with my Car" and "Radio Gaga"), bass player John Deacon (who wrote "Another Ones Bites the Dust", "You're my Best Friend" and "I Want to Break Free") and Brian May (HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD A LITTLE DITTY CALLED WE WILL ROCK YOU? or FLASH's Theme!?")

Of course, I don't sing often "Angry Gamer" podcast songs aside, but I would often be driving down the freeway badly belting out Queen's catalog. Would I do this at home? Not really since I don't like the neighbours hearing everything I'm up to.

I will get this since there's no "I don't like all the modern crap on Singstar" excuse to use. I have weird tastes so here's my ultimate SingStar (Or LIPS if anyone from MS or INIS is reading this) singing list

THE BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25th CENTURY THEME SONG- Suspension by Glenn A Larson. I LOVE THAT SONG. ok the guy who sings it in the Buck Rogers pilot has no voice at all.

BLONDIE- Heart of Glass, Call Me, Atomic, Rapture!

EVERY RANDY NEWMAN SONG FROM PIXAR MOVIES. Seriously, you can't sing them any flatter than Randy Newman. Wipe your nose, man! 

JAMIROQUAI- Cosmic Girl, Canned Heat, Virtual Insanity! Yes! Yes!

This one might seem weird- The Theme to the original Star Trek. I'd sing that in a shot and I don't even drink. 

WAR OF THE WORLDS- Yes Eve of the War even though the only words are "the chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, yet still they come."

on the other hand what should never be released as a Karaoke or music game:

ROBBIE WILLIAMS- BECAUSE HE SUCKS COCKS IN PUBLIC TOILETS

Anything by Amy Winehouse. I don't have children but i would put a bullet in my brain before I allowed an hypothetical 8-year old daughter singe Amy Winehouse. I do like that coke-addicted hag's voice though.

DID I MENTION ROBBIE WILLIAMS IS A HOMOSEXUAL WHO LIKES HAVING HOMOSEXUAL SEX WITH OTHER HOMOSEXUAL MEN WHO ARE AS HOMOSEXUAL AS ROBBIE WILLIAMS WHO INCIDENTALLY IS HOMOSEXUAL AND LIKES HOMOSEXUAL SEX. 

Not that there's anything wrong with that. But he's also a twat who can't sing.
